Pablo Jurado Ruiz, artist interested in drawing, painting and photography. Born in Malaga, Spain in 1973.
With a creative concept based primarily on human representation, I try to tell stories through a minimalist and subtle vision.
My current work is focused on hyper realistic drawings worked in an impressionist technique, complex and very accurate as “pointillism” or stippling art, created with black ink on paper. I like to talk about love, disappointment, nature, childhood, society… and I show it in a glance, a gesture or a detail as if it were a metaphor of life.
Since childhood I liked to express my ideas with pencil and paper. Markers, paintings, tales and comics filled my world. At an early age I discover the European and American comics of the 80s and 90s and my first references as Milo Manara or Moebius. Later studying art history, painting captivates me with artists like Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, Georges Pierre Seurat, Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Antonio López… all these influences coexist in my training and vision of art.
I began my studies at the School of Arts and Crafts in Malaga and after discovering the graphic design and advertising, I graduated in Techniques and Methods of Design (Bachelor of Arts).
I leave my hometown and I spend few years living in Anchorage (Alaska) and Manchester (UK) to finally return to Spain and settle in Madrid where I live and work as Creative Director.
